  • Are there any charges that need to be paid before I begin?
    There are no charges or fees that need to be paid when switching your provider. If moving in, a Move In Fee may be passed through to you by the TDU on your first Ambit Energy bill We do run a soft energy credit check to see if a deposit will be required. Depending on the deposit, you can split it into two installments and it is fully refundable.

  • How soon can my service be turned on?
    Services can start as soon as same day, however this is not guaranteed. Start date will depend on the date that your TDU accepts your order! We'll set you up with an account in minutes, and if you need to get service expedited, it's no problem!
  • Do you waive deposits?
    Yes! If you are over the age of 65, your deposit can be waived with sending a copy of a Valid ID. If you are under 65, we can still help get your deposit waived. If you have service with a different provider, and have either 1 late payment in the last 6 months, or 2 in the last 12 months, your deposit can be waived with a valid Letter of Credit.
  • Did you say FREE Energy?
    Yes! If you refer a minimum of 15 customers to Ambit Energy, you are eligible for FREE energy! Each month your minimum of 15 referrals make a payment on their bill, we will take the average of their usage amount and credit it towards your Energy Charges. Month after month!
